St. Philip’s is a welcoming, inclusive faith
centre, where people of all ages and backgrounds grow in their understanding of
their faith and are equipped to better serve Christ in today’s world.
It is a place of prayer and of deep, caring relationships, a place where
lives are transformed by the love of Jesus Christ. The members of St. Philip’s
are Spirit-led, and we strive to model the love of Christ and His grace in
everything we do. We honour our
Lutheran heritage through our passion for lifelong Christian education and for
vibrant worship. We know we are the
Church, and we all share in the work of ministering to human needs.
Worship that Relates
to Daily Life?
We provide a variety of worship
experiences filled with Biblical preaching, music and prayer that speaks to your
everyday life.
A Chance to Know God Better?
We offer many
learning opportunities for all ages, for
new Christians and all those who are seeking spiritual growth.
The Opportunity to
Help Others?
We seek to demonstrate our Christian love
through actions and live out our new life in Jesus Christ in compassionate
ways, reaching out to others through numerous projects and activities.
A Place to Belong?
We celebrate friendship and faith by
gathering for fun and recreation, sharing the bond of love in Christ through a
variety of social events for all ages.
Worship Services
- See Calendar for Adult Bible Study and Sunday Church School
meeting times.
Visitors
We greet all who are present for worship.
Visitors are especially welcomed. If
you are looking for a church home, please consider St. Philip’s. Pastor Doug
would be happy to give you more information about our congregation.
Nursery
We welcome the presence of young children
in our church services. We believe
that their participation in worship is beneficial to them as the Holy Spirit
works in the midst of all of us. At the same time, we also offer a supervised nursery to
assist you in all of your childcare needs.
Kids Celebrate
Kids Celebrate is available to children in
the congregation as they arrive for
worship each week. Kids Celebrate
is a weekly worship bulletin designed to help engage children in the weekly
gathering of God’s people around word and sacrament.
Week by week, children are encouraged to notice what is going on in
worship in ways that motivate them to look, listen, draw, sing, move and
interact with those around them. Activity
bags are also available in the foyer for young children who are in worship.
