Reverend Kramer has been the pastor at St. Philip's
since 1997. He has a degree in Psychology from Brock University and
graduated from Waterloo Lutheran Seminary (M. Div.) in 1981.
Pastor Doug has been in the parish ministry in the Toronto
area since that time. He is married to Cheryl and they have one daughter,
Elaine.
With regular office hours on Monday and Wednesday and at
other times by appointment, Pastor Doug is ready to serve you in matters of
counseling and faith.
Rev. Robert J. H. Binhammer D.D.1967 - 1997
The Reverend Dr. Binhammer was the pastor at St. Philip's
from 1967 to 1997. He graduated from Waterloo Lutheran University in 1956 and
received a Doctor of Divinity degree from Wilfred Laurier University in 1975. He
has served the Lutheran Church in many areas and was actively involved in
ecumenical affairs. He and his wife, Beverly have two children and two
grandchildren.
Dr. Binhammer retired in March 1997 and currently lives in
Toronto.
Rev. Carl R. Cronmiller D.D.1957 – 1967
The Reverend Dr. Cronmiller was born in Port Colborne,
Ontario. He received his education at Port Colborne public schools, Welland
High School, Waterloo College and Waterloo Lutheran Seminary. Pastorates
were at Brantford, Williamsburg, Welland, Port Colborne and Toronto.
During World War II he was a chaplain with the Royal
Canadian Air Force.
In Synodical circles he served for ten years as a member of
the Board of Governors of Waterloo College and Seminary and was the
President of the Board for several years. Dr. Cronmiller was the secretary of
the Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Canada for two terms and its vice-president
for six years. In 1954 the university of Western Ontario conferred on him the D.
D. Degree. St. Philip's Lutheran Church, under Dr. Cronmiller, was organized
January 19, 1958 (see 'Our History" for further details). Dr.
Cronmiller was the author of "Lutheran Gleanings". He has written an
article on the Canada Synod that has been included in the "Lutheran World
Encyclopedia" and he is the author of the book "A History of the
Lutheran Church in Canada" published in 1961.
